RULES

1. OVERVIEW
These Event Rules govern the EA SPORTS FC Mobile SEA Premier League Season 1.

These Event Rules are hereby incorporated by reference into, and shall be read together with, the Official Rules at https://www.fcpromobile.com/games/ea-sports-fc/fc-pro/fc-pro-mobile-rules-schedule.

In the event of any conflict, inconsistency, or ambiguity between the Official Rules and the Event Rules, the provisions of these Event Rules shall supersede and control.

2. DEFINITIONS
For the purposes of these Event Rules, the following definitions shall apply.

2.1 Team
An officially registered organization or roster approved by EA to participate in the Competition.

2.2 Active Competitor
A Competitor selected to participate in a Team Match.

2.3 Substitute Player
A registered Competitor eligible to replace an Active Competitor only in accordance with these Event Rules.

2.4 Coach
An officially registered Team representative responsible for roster administration, player coordination, and official communication with Event Officials.

2.5 Team Manager
An officially registered Team representative responsible for administrative matters, team operations, and official communication with Event Officials outside gameplay.

2.6 Team Match
A contest between two (2) Teams consisting of three (3) individual Games.

2.7 Game
One (1) Head-to-Head (1v1) EA SPORTS FC Mobile match.

2.8 Match Day
An official Competition day designated by Event Officials.

2.9 League Points
Points awarded based on the result of each Individual Game in accordance with the Competition scoring system.

2.10 Official Communication Platform
Any communication platform designated by Event Officials, including Discord, email, or any other official communication channel approved by EA.

3. ELIGIBILITY

3.1 General Eligibility
Only Teams officially invited or approved by EA are eligible to participate in the Competition.

All Competitors must:

  • Be listed on the officially approved Team roster.
  • Use the EA SPORTS FC Mobile account registered with Event Officials.
  • Use the approved in-game Display Name submitted during registration.
  • Meet all eligibility requirements established by EA.
  • Comply with these Event Rules throughout the Competition.

3.2 Team Registration

Each Team must complete all registration requirements before the deadline established by Event Officials.

Registration shall not be considered complete until officially approved by EA.

EA reserves the right to reject any registration that does not satisfy the Competition requirements.

3.3 Team Roster
Each Team shall register the following roster:

  • Three (3) Active Competitors.
  • One (1) Substitute Player.
  • One (1) Coach.

Only officially approved roster members may participate in the Competition.

No additional Competitors, Coaches, Managers, or other Team personnel may participate without prior written approval from Event Officials

3.4 Roster Lock
Roster Lock shall take effect on the date announced by Event Officials.

Following the Roster Lock:

  • No additional Competitors may be registered.
  • Competitor replacements shall not be permitted except where expressly authorized by Event Officials.
  • Registered EA SPORTS FC Mobile accounts may not be changed.
  • Registered Player IDs may not be changed.
  • Approved in-game Display Names may not be changed.
  • Team ownership or official Team representation may not be transferred without prior  EA approval.

3.5 Substitute Players
A Substitute Player may replace an Active Competitor only before the commencement of a Team Match and only with prior approval from Event Officials.
 

Substitutions during an active Team Match are prohibited unless expressly authorized by Event Officials due to exceptional operational circumstances.

3.6 Competition Accounts
Each Competitor shall compete exclusively using the EA SPORTS FC Mobile account registered during the official roster submission process.
 

Each Competitor is solely responsible for maintaining access to their registered Competition account throughout the Competition.

4. COMPETITION FORMAT
4.1 Competition Structure

The EA SPORTS FC Mobile SEA Premier League Season 1 consists of two (2) competition stages:

  • Group Stage
  • Playoff Stage

The Competition shall be conducted according to the official schedule published by Event Officials.
 

Event Officials reserve the right to modify the Competition format, schedule, Match order, or Match timing where reasonably necessary due to operational, technical, broadcast, competitive integrity, or unforeseen circumstances.
 

Any such decision shall be final and binding.

4.2 Group Stage
The Group Stage shall consist of sixteen (16) participating Teams competing in a Single Round Robin format.

Each Team shall compete against every other Team once during the Group Stage across fifteen (15) official Match Days.

Each Individual Game shall award League Points based on the official Game Result.

The total League Points earned by all three (3) Competitors shall constitute the Team's Match Points for that Team Match.

At the conclusion of Match Day 15, the final League Standings shall determine qualification for the Playoff Stage.

4.3 League Points
League Points are awarded on an individual Game basis throughout both the Group Stage and Playoff Stage.

Each Team Match consists of three (3) individual Games. The League Points earned from all three Games shall be combined to determine the Team's total Match Points.
 

The cumulative Match Points earned throughout the Competition shall determine the League Standings.

4.4 League Standings
Teams shall be ranked according to the total League Points earned during the Group Stage.

If two (2) or more Teams finish with an equal number of League Points, rankings shall be determined in the following order:

  • Superior Aggregate Goal Difference.
  • Head-to-Head Match Result.
  • Greater Total Goals Scored.
  • Greater number of Match Wins.
  • Fewest disciplinary penalties issued during the Competition.
  • Final determination by Event Officials.

Event Officials reserve the right to apply additional tiebreak procedures whenever necessary to preserve competitive integrity.

4.5 Playoff Stage
The top four (4) Teams from the Group Stage shall qualify for the Playoff Stage.
The Playoff Stage shall be conducted using a Double Elimination bracket format on Match Day 16.

4.5.1 Playoff Seeding
     Initial Playoff seeding shall be determined by the final Group Stage standings as follows:

  • Rank 1 vs Rank 4
  • Rank 2 vs Rank 3

The final Group Stage rankings shall be used solely to determine the initial Playoff bracket positions.

4.5.2 Bracket Progression
The Playoff Stage shall follow the progression below.
Upper Bracket Round 1:

  • Rank 1 vs Rank 4
  • Rank 2 vs Rank 3
  • Best of Three (Bo3)

Lower Bracket Round 1:

  • Loser of Upper Bracket Match 1 vs Loser of Upper Bracket Match 2
  • Best of Three (Bo3)

Upper Bracket Final:

  • Winner of Upper Bracket Match 1 vs Winner of Upper Bracket Match 2
  • Best of Five (Bo5)

Lower Bracket Final:

  • Loser of the Upper Bracket Final vs Winner of the Lower Bracket Round 1
  • Best of Five (Bo5)

Grand Final:

  • Winner of the Upper Bracket Final vs Winner of the Lower Bracket Final
  • Best of Five (Bo5)

4.5.3 Final Rankings
The final Playoff standings shall be determined as follows:

  • Champion โ€” Winner of the Grand Final
  • Runner-up โ€” Loser of the Grand Final
  • Third Place โ€” Loser of the Lower Bracket Final
  • Fourth Place โ€” Loser of the Lower Bracket Round 1

Tournament Administration reserves the right to modify the Playoff schedule, Match order, or bracket progression where necessary for broadcast, operational, or competitive integrity purposes.

All Match results and final standings shall become official upon confirmation by Tournament Administration

4.6 Team Match Format
Each Team Match shall consist of three (3) individual Head-to-Head (1v1) Games.

Each Team must nominate three (3) Active Competitors before the commencement of the Team Match.

Each Active Competitor may participate in only one (1) Game per Team Match unless otherwise authorized by Event Officials.

Player order must be submitted before the deadline established by Event Officials.

Once submitted and approved, the player order may not be modified except with prior authorization from Event Officials.

4.7 Match Result
Each Team Match shall consist of three (3) individual Games, with each Game contributing League Points toward the Team's overall Match score.

League Points shall be awarded for each individual Game as follows:

Each Team Match consists of three (3) individual Games. The League Points earned from all three Games shall be combined to determine the Team's total Match Points.

Loser of the Upper Bracket Final vs Winner of the Lower Bracket Round 1

  • Best of Five (Bo5)

Grand Final:
Winner of the Upper Bracket Final vs Winner of the Lower Bracket Final

  • Best of Five (Bo5)

4.5.3 Final Rankings
The final Playoff standings shall be determined as follows:

  • Champion โ€” Winner of the Grand Final
  • Runner-up โ€” Loser of the Grand Final
  • Third Place โ€” Loser of the Lower Bracket Final
  • Fourth Place โ€” Loser of the Lower Bracket Round 1

Tournament Administration reserves the right to modify the Playoff schedule, Match order, or bracket progression where necessary for broadcast, operational, or competitive integrity purposes.

The Team earning the greater number of League Points shall be declared the Match Winner.

4.8 Match Schedule
The official Match schedule shall be published by Event Officials prior to each Match Day.

Teams are responsible for monitoring all official communication channels and ensuring readiness for their scheduled Matches.

5. PRIZE POOL
The Event shall award a total prize pool of USD $50,000.

Prize distribution shall be as follows:

  • 1st Place โ€” USD $12,000
  • 2nd Place โ€” USD $9,000
  • 3rd Place โ€” USD $6,500
  • 4th Place โ€” USD $4,500
  • 5thโ€“8th Place โ€” USD $2,000 per Team
  • 9thโ€“12th Place โ€” USD $1,500 per Team
  • 13thโ€“16th Place โ€” USD $1,000 per Team

6. GAMEPLAY SETTINGS
6.1 Player Items
All Player Items currently available on the official EA SPORTS FC Mobile live server may be used.

There shall be no restriction on:

  • Team OVR
  • Player OVR
  • Player Item Version
  • Player Item Rarity
  • Player Skills
  • Player Attributes
  • Player PlayStyles

Competitors may freely build their squads.

6.2 Team Badges
The use of Team Badges is prohibited during all official Matches.

Competitors must remove all Team Badges before entering an official Match.

6.3 Eligible Devices
Official Matches shall be played only on Supported Platforms.

The use of emulators, PC-based gameplay, unauthorized third-party software, macros, automation tools, or any hardware or software providing an unfair competitive advantage is strictly prohibited.

Event Officials may request device verification at any time during the Competition.

7. MATCH PROCEDURES
7.1 Official Communication
All Competition-related communications shall be conducted exclusively through the Official Communication Platform designated by Event Officials.

Teams are responsible for ensuring that their Coach or Team Manager remains available and responsive throughout the Competition.

Failure to monitor official communications shall not constitute a valid reason for missing deadlines, Match schedules, or administrative requirements.

7.2 Match Check-In
All Teams must complete the official Match check-in before the deadline specified by Event Officials.

During check-in, Teams may be required to:

  • Confirm player availability.
  • Submit the Active Competitor lineup.
  • Confirm player order.
  • Verify EA Account and in-game Display Name.
  • Complete any additional administrative requirements.

7.3 Match Readiness
All Competitors must be fully prepared before the scheduled Match start time.

Competitors are responsible for ensuring:

  • Stable internet connectivity
  • Fully functional mobile device.
  • Updated game client
  • Sufficient battery level or external power supply
  • Appropriate competitive environment free from unnecessary distractions

Event Officials may delay or commence a Match at their discretion where operationally necessary.

7.4 Player Order Submission
Each Team must submit its player order before the deadline established by Event Officials.

Once approved, the player order shall be considered final for that Team Match.

Changes to the submitted player order shall only be permitted with prior approval from Event Officials due to exceptional circumstances.

7.5 Match Start Procedure
A Match shall begin only after authorization from Event Officials.

Competitors must not independently initiate, restart, or abandon a Match without prior instruction unless required by an emergency situation.

7.6 Bugs and Technical Exploitation
Competitors who become aware of a bug capable of materially affecting gameplay must immediately notify Event Officials.

7.7 Match Disconnection
If a Competitor disconnects during a Match, the affected Team must immediately notify Event Officials.

Event Officials shall determine whether the Match shall:

  • Continue
  • Resume
  • Restart
  • Be replayed
  • Be declared complete

7.8 Internet Responsibility
Each Competitor is solely responsible for maintaining a stable internet connection throughout every Match.

Internet instability, packet loss, latency, or connection interruptions on the Competitor's side shall not automatically constitute grounds for a Match replay.

Event Officials may grant exceptions only where extraordinary circumstances materially affect competitive integrity.

7.9 Technical Issues
Technical issues include, but are not limited to:

  • Server instability
  • Authentication failures
  • Game crashes
  • Device malfunctions
  • Broadcast-related interruptions
  • Competition platform failures

Event Officials may suspend, postpone, restart, replay, or reschedule a Match.

7.10 Match Restart Policy
No Match shall be restarted without authorization from Event Officials

Where a restart is approved, Event Officials shall determine the appropriate restart procedure, taking into consideration:

  • The elapsed Match time
  • The Match score
  • The cause of the interruption
  • Available competitive evidence
  • Competitive integrity

7.11 Game Update and Emergency Patches
If EA releases a game update, hotfix, or emergency patch during the Competition, Event Officials may determine whether the update shall be adopted immediately or deferred.

Competitors must comply with all instructions regarding game versions and update requirements.
